Skin Care In Summer And Winter

During winter and summer season people face lots of skin problems.  During winters people face skin flaking and cracking and during summer people face sunburnand oily skin. It is very important to keep your skin healthy as it not only makes your body healthy but also make you look beautiful..Here are the safety measures for your skin during both the seasons

How To Keep Your Skin Safe In Winter

  • During winter season, our body generates a lot of energy in order to keep itself warm and provide protection against cold weather. This strengthens the digestive system of the body and help to digest even heavier food easily. The energy generated can be stored to be utilized throughout remaining part of the year.
  • Drinking plenty of water everyday would ensure that your skin remains soft, supple and well-hydrated. Internal hydration keeps skin cells plump and healthy.
  • The dry air during winter season can make your skin worst, therefore it is better to maintain humidity inside your living space, prefereably with a humidifier.
  • Start the day with a lukewarm shower. Keep baths or showers short; limit them to one per day. Avoid harsh (typically colored, fragrant or antibacterial) soaps and stick with mild non-drying soaps.
  • Try to protect your hands from the cold air and low humidity, by wearing gloves, which are made up from material that does not irritate your skin.

  • Keeping the skin stimulated is a delicate balancing act. Too much can be as bad as too little.  Never use anything that leaves your skin thirsty.  If it feels sore or taught after using a product, stop using it.

MakeUp Ideas In Winter

  • During the winter months you can get away with using makeup that has more sparkle and shine to it. One way that you can add sparkle to your makeup is to use a powder that is infused with sparkles.
  • Try colored mascara like navy, burgundy, and auburn that gives lashes a subtle color and some depth as well, without looking too obvious.
  • Either your moisturizer or your foundation should have broad-spectrum sun protection.
  • Smokey eyes look best in winters. For sultry effect, you can use eye shadows in cinnamon and coffee shades.
  • A sheer layer of creamy blush-on can boost up the subtle makeup look that you adopt in winters.
  • Tinted lip balms, in honey, blackberry and red currant tones, look great in the winter season.
  • A light, matt foundation as well as a tinted powder, with a slight shimmer, look great in winters.
  • For fragrance, it is best to stick to essence of essential oils, spices and other natural aromas.

7 Steps To Protect Your Skin From Summer

  • For clean and glowing skin, use a scrub made of equal amounts of corn flour and honey, once a week
  • Apply  a fruit or vegetable mask appropriate for your skin type. Cucumbers, avocados, apricots and papayas lend themselves well to homemade masks. Puree the fruit or vegetable and blend with some yogurt, honey, oatmeal and lemon juice (for oily skin) or rosewater (for dry skin) and apply evenly to the face. Let stay for 15-20 minutes and then rinse off with lukewarm water For More Natural facial masks
  • Mix 4 tbsp plain yogurt, 2 tbsp honey, 3 tbsp lime juice  and add a little cornstarch if you think the paste needs thickening. Apply on your face and massage for 2-3 minutes. Rinse with cold water.
  • Mix Pineapple pulp, grapeseed oil, papaya pulp, mulethi and turmeric and  make a paste. Now apply a generous amount of the mixture on face and neck leaving the eyes. Let it dry and rinse with fresh water.
  • Cucumber and lime juice serve to cool and lighten sunburn. Therefore, they must be mixed in equal ratio and applied often.
  • For sunburn relief, a paste of turmeric, barley and yoghurt must be applied on the sunburned area.
  • Mash a ripe banana or a few piece of watermelon, add a teaspoon of milk power, half teaspoon of honey and two drops of orange essential oil to it. Apply this paste on your face and let it dry for 20 minutes, rinse it with cold water.
  • Apply a thin coat of sandalwood powder and keep it on for fifteen minutes. Wash it off later with cold water. It also prevents infection and is a good agent for summer skin care.
  • Sun, sand, sweat, and sunscreen only increase the amount of dead skin cells that build up on your face and body. Slough them off with an exfoliating scrub or loofah a few times each week.
  • Drink a cup of milk every day, and also combine milk with ingredients like almond meal and rose water to make a Pitta-balancing skin cleanser.
  • Eat  fruits and vegetables that are rich with alpha hydroxy, beta hydroxy and antioxidants such as vitamin C, E and A. Citrus fruits, strawberries and tomatoes contain lots of vitamin C. Wheat germ, nuts, seeds, whole grains and fish-liver oil can give you vitamin E protection. Carrots, squash, broccoli, kale, cantaloupe, peaches and apricots are rich in vitamin A.
  • Never go out in the blazing sun without a high-SPF lotion or cream spread on those sensitive areas. Anywhere that you may normally burn, make sure to cover it with a high-SPF sunblock lotion. Apply generously...trust me, the sun is relentless.

Georgeous MakeUp Look In Summer

  • Before you apply makeup, it is important to keep the basics of facial skin care in mind. Start your makeup routine by first applying a sunscreen with moisturizer.
  • Apply primer after you apply moisturizer, and before you apply foundation (if necessary). It gives the skin a smooth, fresh look and is perfect for summer makeup.
  • For a more natural look, you can successfully replace foundation with powder.
  • For a more natural, daytime makeup use creamy and smooth, fluid textures, rather transparent, and warm colors. If you want a sun-kissed effect use a brush and apply some blush on the nostrils.
  • While doing your eye makeup routine, don't apply moisturizer on the eyes in the summer, because it can make your makeup look all wrong. Instead, choose an eye primer, followed with the use of cream and powder eyeshadow. Then, apply a thin line of eyeliner, and follow it up with mascara.
  • Light shade of bronzer on cheekbones and chin gives you a beautiful suntan. Gold shimmer under brows or across cheekbones can be a luxury you can use.
  • Avoid lip liner.
