How To Get Strong And Shiny Nails
  • For your nails to be healthy your diet should include a lot of fruits and raw vegetables so that they get the required vitamins, minerals and enzymes. Eat food that is rich in silicon like broccoli, fish and onions. Eat foods rich in biotins like whole grains.
  • Drink plenty of water and other fruit juices. Food rich in zinc and vitamin B will strengthen your nails.
  • Consume less sugar and less alcohol
  • Every night, before you go off to sleep, wash your hands thoroughly, wipe them dry with a towel and apply a hand moisturizer. Thereafter, rub a small amount of petroleum jelly into the cuticle as well as the skin surrounding your nails.

  • Wash your feet in warm water that is not too hot, and use a mild soap. Although soaking your feet in hot water may feel good at times, make sure you keep your feet in for less than 10 minutes as a precaution to prevent dry skin
  • If you have rough portions on your heels or soles, apply some non-perfumed moisturizing lotion to these areas, making sure you wipe off any lotion that doesn't absorb into your skin
  • Don't cross your legs for long periods of time while sitting.
  • Exercise your feet daily to improve circulation as part of your footcare regiment.
  • Don't apply hot water bottles or heating pads to your feet
How To Get Rid Of Heel Cracks

  • To avoid the cracks of your heels keep scrubbing the dead hard skin regularly and keep applying moisturizers or petroleum jelly to your feet, which will prevent your heels from getting cracks
  • Make your own nourishing and moisturizing night cream by mixing cucumber juice, carrot juice and almond oil. You can whisk this mixture so as to thicken it.
  • Apply the pulp of a ripe banana on the dry or cracked area of the heel. Leave it on for 10 minutes and rinse it clean. This is a simple dry cracked heels home remedy and it can be used on a daily basis to prevent and treat dry and cracked heels. 
  • Use foot scrubber to scrub the dead skin and brush away the dead skin with a small brush meant for feet.
  • Soak a handful of mustard seeds in a bowl of lukewarm water for a couple of hours. Drain out the excess water and crush the seeds so that you have a thick paste. Add a tblsn of virgin coconut oil to this paste and mix it well. Apply this mixture to your feet for the night.
  • Use pumice stone to reduce the thickness of the hard skin.
  • Take about three tablespoons of bees wax and mix one teaspoonful sesame oil in it. Warm it a little and apply on the affected areas
  • Add half an avocado or the flesh of half a coconut to a blender along with the banana to form a thick and creamy paste. Avocados and coconuts are rich in several essential oils and fat soluble vitamins. This paste will help to provide your skin with the vitamins and oils it requires to stay soft and well moisturized. This paste can be used to treat as well as prevent dry cracked heels.
  • Wipe your feet and massage foot cream on them. You can even apply petroleum jelly or your daily body lotion on your feet.
  • Soak your feet in a tub of warm water to which a spoon of olive oil and a spoon of lemon juice have been added. Soak your feet for at least 20 minutes and then use a pumice stone to lightly scrape away the dead skin from your soles
  • A regular application of a mixture of glycerin and rosewater is known to soothe and cure cracked heels
  • Include the diet rich in calcium, minerals, zinc and vitamins. Omega 3 fatty acids are also considered to be best for cracked heels.
  • Include vegetable oils, green vegetables, cereals, wheat germ, whole-grain products.










How To Cure Foot Aching


  • Add one of the following ingredients to a basin of warm to hot water and soak your aching feet for 15 minutes: 1 cup of apple cider vinegar, 2 strong cups of  peppermint tea, or 2 tablespoons of  salt.
  • Massage your feet thoroughly with lemon juice immediately after soaking, rinse your feet with cool water, and dry.
  • Boil a large turnip until it is soft, mash it, spread it on two handkerchiefs and apply one to each foot. Sit back with your aching feet elevated for 30 minutes.
  • For a mini-massage, roll the bottom of your foot over a tennis ball, rolling pin, or a frozen water bottle for a couple of minutes




 How To Treat Foot Fungal Problems



  • The most effective and easy way to avoid fungal colonies is by keeping the feet dry for maximum part of the day. Even after the shower, care has to be taken to pat the feet with dry clothes and make it dry. Water stagnation between the toe finger is an ideal place for the fungal growth.
  • Listerine mouthwash is also an effective home remedy for toenail fungus. You can soak infected toenails in this antiseptic solution for about 15 - 20 minutes twice daily.
  • Soak the feet in apple cider diluted with the same amount of water (50:50) for at least half an hour. The acidic nature of the apple cider helps kill the fungus if at all on the feet
  • Turmeric (in pure form) is a natural antiseptic that helps in killing fungus. Make a paste of turmeric and  apply this turmeric paste to the infected toenails for two times a day. Keep it for 25 - 30 minutes and rinse of with warm water. Dry the nails and feet with towel and wipe properly using an absorbent paper.
  • The ingredients found in yogurt are helpful to treat toenail fungus. Rub some amount of yogurt in the infected toenails and also to the underside of the nails as much as you can. Leave it for 20 - 25 minutes and wash thoroughly. Towel dry the nails to avoid wet condition
  • Take two drops of oregano essential oil with one teaspoon of olive oil and mix them together. Apply this mixture to the fungal infected toenails for at least twice a day.
  • Grapefruit seeds extract has also shown its benefits in treating the problem. This extract is anti-fungal in nature. Take a few drops of it on your palm and rub it on the feet. Do this twice or thrice daily
  • Taking a lot of curd or foods rich in vitamin C and probiotics, can help to fight infections very effectively



Steps To Cure From Foot Sweating

  • Do not wear shoes that are made of synthetic materials, such as, tennis shoes and socks. These footwear are made of man made fabric which are actually contributing factors in the production of great perspiration
  • You can also make a diluted solution of a tablespoon of toothpaste in about 5 liters of water and soak your feet in this. It will feel cool and nice while your feet are in it and will also help to keep your feet from sweating too much.
  • Apply foot talcum powder after drying your feet very well. The talc powder will serve as your protection from excessive sweating in the feet later on in the day when your feet begin to perspire. The powder will definitely absorb the excess moisture that will start to build up in your feet.
  • Soak your feet in warm brewed tea leaves once a week. Tea contains a chemical called tannin, which is helps to remove all sorts of odors and also help to sanitize your skin. After soaking your feet in this tea for about 20 minutes, wash off and apply a grease free moisturizer.
