    Original Technique:

    • An Ayurvedic Massage is done using comfortably warm massage oil and then the finger tips are dipped into the warm oil before it is applied lightly to the entire body.
    • You will then need to wait for 4-5 minutes which allows some of the oil to be absorbed by the skin.
    • Apply lighter pressure on sensitive areas such as around the abdomen and heart.
    • Also when working on the nerve ending you should use more oil and spend more time massaging them which include soles of the feet, palms of the hands along the based of each fingernail.
    • Use circular motions around the rounded areas of the body such as your head or joints, and straight strokes should be used on the straight areas of the body such as the arms and legs.
    • Once you have completed the massage relax for 10-15 minutes allowing the oil and massage to work its magic on you then follow it with a relaxing warm bath or shower.

              The therapist will be pushing your body into various positions while you have to put little effort.  Usually this massage is carried out on a mattress on the floor with the client fully dressed..The massage starts with the patient prostrate, usually with you on your back. The masseur works his way up from the feet. Each toe joint is stretched. Similarly, the masseur may step on points below the groin, applying his full weight. If the points are correct, there is no pain, and you feel a pleasant tingling “rush” down the legs as the masseur steps off.



                   



              After the hands and arms have been similarly treated, you lie on your side. After more pressure there is a pull-up arm stretch where you might be lucky enough to hear cracking around the middle of your spine. This is repeated on the other side.     Shiatsu Massage






             It is also known as acupressure, is a point-pressure massage using the fingers. It is designed to help regulate the flow of energy within the body. During a shiatsu massage, thumb, fingers, palms or feet to the body apply pressure. This type of massage helps produce a deep relaxation increases energy levels and brings balance to the body.


    • Make sure that the palms of your hands are dry and warm by slowly rubbing them together before you start performing Shiatsu Massage.
    • The patient should lye on a massage mattress on the back or on the stomach depending on which procedure you wish to start from. The patients head should lay on a pillow and place your hand on the patients shoulders if starting from back massage procedures.
    • Start your massage by massaging the face, neck and shoulders with your palms in a clockwise rotation for about ten minutes.
    • Interchange the directions of your palms in an up and down motion but always bear in mind to apply only a light pressure when working on the face, neck, and shoulders.
    • After massaging the face, slide the palms of your hands down the arms and up to the chest of your client in a gentle kneading circular motion for about 15 minutes.
    • Continue this gentle kneading circular motion to the sides of the abdomen.
    • Continue this for  the thighs, legs and the feet.
    • Continue down the back, apply pressure procedures with palms and elbows. The back is part of the body where you can apply stronger pressure in order to relax the tightest muscles.


    Swedish Massage

           This is the most common type of massage therapy in the United States. It is also known as Swedish massage or simply massage therapy. Massage therapists use long smooth strokes, kneading, and circular movements on superficial layers of muscle using massage lotion or oil.Swedish massage therapy can be very gentle and relaxing.

    • Place your hands on their scalp for a few seconds. This gets them used to your touch. With your fingertips, massage their scalp, ears and face.
    • Pour or pump the oil into one hand, rub both of your hands together to distribute and warm the oil and then apply it to the client's body.
    • Again, deeper pressure is often required, but if your subject suffers from back pain, 


    Face Massages
     





            Massaging the face is an easy and important part of beauty regime to keep wrinkles at bay. Besides softening the skin, another good effect of massage is that it stimulates blood circulation and removes dead skin. Facial massage is also known to tighten certain skin tissues that tend  to go flabby and give the face a worn out look.

    How to apply facial massages

    • Take some cold water from the bowl, and apply it to your face as well. You could start from the neck. Lift your chin up and massage your neck using upward strokes.
    • Press between the eyebrows with your thumbs.Repeat, moving up the center of the forehead to the hairline.
    • Massage temples, using circular motion with fingers.Continue circles down along the jawbone to the chin.
    • Using your fingertips, draw a line under the cheekbone and out to the temples.Repeat, taking the line lower down the cheek each time.
    • Use the fingertips to draw a big moustache shape from the upper lip out to the temples, and circle the temples one more time.
    • Press softly around the upper bone of the eye sockets, starting from the bridge of the nose, out to the corner of the eye.Repeat, this time working carefully around the eye socket under the eyes.
    • Gently massage the ears between your thumbs and fingers, starting at the earlobe and moving around and up to the top of the ear.
    • Pull ears very gently, again starting with the lobe and moving gradually to the top of the ear.
